More than 200 business leaders assembled
in London on 5 April to commit to action in support
of Africa. They called on the wider business community,
in Africa and the rest of the world, to sign up to
a Business Action for Africa Plan: a clear and tangible
set of actions to promote a prosperous Africa for all
its people.
The Plan built on the momentum created by the Commission for Africa – which
was strongly endorsed by the conference – and will set the stage for a
strong business voice in support of Africa at the Gleneagles G8 Summit in July.
